Getting Started
We understand that navigating complex service delivery systems can be difficult for people with disabilities and their families. There are choices of Medicaid-funded adult disability service options, as well as choices in providers who offer different services. To aide in this process, South Dakota’s Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) has created a single “front door” to services. Effective June 1, 2023, anyone who is seeking disability services in South Dakota will now contact DDD.
The application guide below provides an overview of the process, as well as Medicaid service option. For reference, ASPIRE provides comprehensive services under the CHOICES Waiver.
