Each month Aspire collects outstanding employee recognition called Shooting Star nominations.  These are voted upon and awarded at our monthly staff meeting.

All of the monthly award winners are voted upon each year to select our yearly Shooting Star Award winner.

A sandwich and a soda is not enough of an appreciation to give Paula for her help on January 18th.

Our department of 6 was down to two staff one of which was not feeling well.  Enter a gentleman that had been having a hard time for the past week which necessitated a one to one staff ratio, at times two or even three to one ratio for safety and accountability issues.

Paula was the staff that drove the people in to work from this gentleman’s house and she witnessed first hand how he was already displaying not so nice behaviors.  Paula mentioned before leaving that if she could be spared and we needed assistance we could call her.  Around 10:30am I made that call and Paula was will to come save the day but she needed to wait until other staff got back to the house before she could leave.

Paula arrived and worked one on one with the gentleman for the rest of the day.  She also stepped in and assisted with others in the area as well when the other staff were busy with other people.  He seemed to have a better day which helped everyone else to have a better day all because Paula was here to work with him.  Thank you so much for being a team player!   It was and is always appreciated to know that we have great teamwork.
