Recently we had a person we support pass away.  One of the gentleman that Josh works with was good friends with the person that passes away and was taking the death very hard.  He was very down the day he heard the news and so Josh sat down with him to try to help him through his grief.  Josh offered to take him out to dinner so that he could spend some time away from home, to be with others and talk.  Josh, his wife, daughter and the gentleman he supports went to the Millstone for supper where they joked around, chatted about random things and really brought up the spirits of everyone.

Last week, a different gentleman had purchased a new bed but needed to find some way to haul his old bed away.  Another staff had approached Josh and had barely finished explaining the situation when Josh offered to get his dad’s truck and help haul it away.

Just this week, yet another people had mentioned that their bike tires were low and how they wanted to ride the bike but since the tires were low didn’t think they should be riding it.  Josh took the truck, picked up the person and their bike and drove them to the gas station to assist them with filling up their bike tired.  They were very grateful and happy that they are now able to ride their bike again.

Josh often goes above and beyond for the people he supports.  He has a wonderful rapport with every he works with in the career area.  Many of them look forward to comin in to the center every day to see Josh because he always razzes them and jokes around with them and they are quick to return the favor!  If Josh is gone for any reason, I get asked multiple times by multiple people where he is, when is he coming back, if he’s okay, etc.

Thank you Josh for always being the guy to make others laugh, to be quick to jump in and offer help, and for always going above and beyond for those we support!
