December Shooting Star Award Winner

Each month Aspire collects outstanding employee recognition called Shooting Star nominations.  These are voted upon and awarded at our monthly staff meeting.  

All of the monthly award winners are voted upon each year to select our yearly Shooting Star Award winner.

Becca, as Chair of Aspire’s Events Committee, became aware of a grant opportunity from Kohl’s Cares for their National Giveback Initiative. The grant for $25,000 was a huge ask, but we’ve had great support from the local Kohl’s store for Aspire’s programs.

Aspire was the only South Dakota non-profit to receive grant funds. This huge gift will help defray costs to host events, and hopefully bring NEW opportunities for Aspire participants to engage with others in the community. Thank you to Becca, and anyone on the Events Committee that may have been involved in applying for this grant.
